![]() With the right information and a little know-how, you can make sure your centurion boat is always safe and running efficiently.įrom understanding the basics of wiring diagrams to knowing the specific components of your centurion boat, this guide will provide you with the information you need to get the most out of your boat. Properly maintained, the wiring diagram will allow boaters to identify potential issues with their boat before they happen. Maintaining a centurion boat's wiring diagram is an important part of ensuring its safe and efficient operation. Assuming that's enough air in it's design to ventilate while under power.Centurion Boat Wiring Diagram: An Easy-to-Follow Guide ![]() We do have the forced air intakes below the windshield that "exhaust" to the bilge area just in front of the transmission on the v drive. And Rope Thrower, the set up for your direct drive sounds very similar to our v drive. That should create a small vacuum enough to draw some fresh air from the open hose on the other side. Thinking I'll likely just leave one of the hoses open to allow fresh air intake and attach the Attwood Turbo 3000 to exhaust out the other hose. Was trying to figure out if there was a reason or if maybe the dual purpose vents were enough to allow fresh air intake as well as exhaust the engine compartment fumes. The setup looked nicely done, professional. ![]() The other is attached to the blower and sucks air/fumes out. One hose allows fresh air to come into the engine compartment. I'm not sure about your particular model, but it should be pretty straight forward. Guessing I should search another thread or start a new one for those topics? I'm guessing the "U" designed into the hose is like a P-trap for the fumes? Is the routing described here how it is supposed to go, do those vents allow enough airflow in and out of both the engine compartment and the exterior?Īlso, have a steady leak around the drive shaft and the fresh water intake. I can see that when the sundeck is down, the vent holes are actually covered, basically drawing the air from the engine compartment, though the contour of the fiberglass at each corner around the vent allows some fresh air intake /output as well. The port side travels slightly further down and forms a "U" coming back up to the bottom of the blower motor. On the starboard side, the in line blower is mounted vertically, air direction towards the starboard vent. The hose comes from / goes to each one, travels along the rear upper edge of the compartment until they meet at the center, then they right angle down. There's the two upper vents on either side of the rear of the engine compartment. The vent hose is brittle and needs replaced, no brainer. Not sure I followed your explanation exactly, but I think I have a similar problem or question about routing. I'm in a similar boat, literally and figuratively. And I apologize if this stuff has been answered before I'm still trying to figure out the best way to filter my searches. Thanks in advance for any advice, I've been glued to these pages since I found this site, it's an invaluable tool for us new owners. any idea what they're for? Thought one might be a dimmer for the dash but.? Shouldn't the duct be connected to the discharge side to suck the fumes from the engine compartment and exhaust them out? As it is now the blower would be bringing in fresh air not blowing out the bad stuff.Īlso on my dash in between the wheel and the gauges are two small knobs. Whats got me is that the piece connected to the old motor is on the upward facing suction side. I'm assuming that it's supposed to be connected to one of the existing ducts and just broke over the years (the existing flex duct seems pretty brittle). The question is this in looking at the existing set up there are two flex ducts hooked to the transom vents both just kind of hanging into the bilge and the blower itself has a short piece of flex duct attached to the upper suction side but not connected to anything else on the boat. So the blower motor is locked tight as a drum no big deal, ordered a replacement. Love the boat and getting it prepped for spring here in Northern Cali. ![]() Hey all just bought my first Centurion the other day. ![]()
